Dan was taking a break from real estate investment and voiceover production, and doing some freelance work as a tour leader for the international company World Wide Data Link, and was living in Russia. Polina was working for the same company as an interpreter. Dan and Polina were introduced on Valentine’s Day 2004, in St. Petersburg Russia. They occasionally would run into each other during most of 2004, but that was as far as it went.
At the end of that year, Friday December 3rd 2004, a mutual acquaintance (Tatiana) took each of them aside and told each of them that they WERE GOING OUT TO DINNER TOGETHER that night. She was NOT taking “NO” for an answer from either of them. Eventually they agreed, and as they say “That’s all she wrote”. They have been together ever since that first date.
Polina always had a natural talent for painting. She developed as an artist as she attended a Russian Art school in St. Petersburg for over 5 years. Polina has done murals, backdrops for school plays, and of course paintings that adorn the walls of many homes.
Her eye for detail, scale, lighting and shadows, and color come through to truly show her depth as an artist.
After a career in radio and voiceovers spanning over 25 years, Dan now devotes most of his time to real estate investment. Most days are spent on home design and renovations, as well as some video production…..and an occasional radio or TV voiceover.
He always had a house remodeling project going on during the radio days, but now has more time to spend buying homes to rent or flip.
